    What rider type is the ST5+ designed for?

    ST5+ is perfect for long commutes, shopping adventures, or just getting out and exploring. Featuring an upright yet sporty geometry and comfortable yet capable features ST5+ is suited for new riders and experienced cyclists alike.

    What’s the weight limit for the bike?

    ST5+ has a weight limit of 330lbs (150kg), which includes the rider and any gear or cargo.

    Is this bike compatible with fenders and a rear rack?

    ST5+ comes standard with full-coverage alloy fenders and an MIK-HD rear rack.

    What is the maximum speed?

    ST5+ ships as a Class 2 e-bike, meaning it has both throttle and pedal assist to 20mph. The e-bike can be updated to Class 3 options via the X-LAB Bikes mobile app. It is the rider’s responsibility to comply with all local laws and regulations related to e-bikes.

    Is the battery safe?

    Yes, the battery on ST5+ is designed to be safe and reliable. In addition to using Tier-1 battery cells from LG, the battery and complete e-bike system are tested and certified to UL 2271 and UL 2849.

    Where can my bike be serviced and repaired?

    Any local bike shop will be able to provide general service for your ST5+. For any maintenance of the e-system or warranty issues we recommend going to an X-LAB dealer to receive the best expert guidance and support.

    Is the wheelset tubeless ready?

    The rims and tires on ST5+ are not tubeless compatible.

    What is the maximum tire clearance?

    ST5+ has clearance for up to 2.4” tires.

    Are other cockpit size options available?

    ST5+ uses a custom-designed integrated cockpit. There are three different cockpits for ST5+, SP5+, and SL5+. These are all cross compatible with all X-LAB e-bikes and can be purchased separately if a different ride position is desired.

    Who makes the motor and battery?

    The motor and battery on ST5+ are developed and manufactured in-house by X-LAB. The battery cells are sourced from LG.

    Can I remove the throttle controller?

    Yes. The throttle controller can be removed if you prefer a cleaner cockpit setup or want to ride without throttle functionality. Please contact your local X-LAB dealer for assistance with removal and configuration.

    Is the battery removable?

    To minimize weight and complexity of the overall e-bike, the battery on ST5+ is designed to be removed only by an X-LAB mechanic.
