Torque specifications vary by bicycle model, cockpit design, fastener, and installation point. Use the values printed on the component or listed in the owner’s manual supplied with your bicycle.

Always use a calibrated torque wrench when working with carbon handlebars, stems, steerer tubes, seatposts, and clamps. Excessive torque can damage a carbon component, while insufficient torque may allow it to slip or rotate. If a value is missing or unclear, contact an authorized X-LAB dealer before tightening the fastener.

X-LAB offers model-specific Aero Cockpit options for selected performance road and gravel bicycles. Available configurations may include different handlebar widths, stem lengths, and cockpit shapes, depending on the frame and model.

Integrated cockpits are not universally interchangeable. Compatibility can depend on the headset, spacers, steerer interface, internal cable routing, brake-hose length, and electronic-shifting configuration. Visit an authorized X-LAB dealer to confirm which options fit your bicycle and whether additional hardware or cable and hose changes will be required.

X-LAB measures the stem length of an integrated Branta™ cockpit using the center-to-center method:

• Starting point: the center of the steerer tube or top-cap bolt
• Ending point: the center of the handlebar’s reference or clamp area

This method provides a consistent measurement for comparing available cockpit sizes. It may not match a measurement taken from the outside edges of the stem.

Because the stem and handlebar form one integrated component, changing stem length usually requires replacing the complete cockpit. Available lengths are model-specific. The replacement may also require rerouting or replacing hydraulic brake hoses and electronic-shifting wires, so consult an authorized X-LAB dealer for compatibility and installation.

Yes. Handlebar height can generally be adjusted by changing the arrangement or number of headset spacers, provided the final setup remains within the approved spacer range for the frame, fork, and cockpit.

The available adjustment depends on the remaining steerer-tube length. If the steerer tube has already been cut, upward adjustment may be limited. Never exceed the maximum spacer allowance or make unsupported changes to a carbon steerer assembly.

Consult the model-specific service manual or an authorized X-LAB dealer before changing the spacer configuration. After adjustment, the headset, compression hardware, and cockpit fasteners must be installed and tightened correctly before the bicycle is ridden.
