SP5+ is for the active rider who just needs that little extra push - to get there faster, to arrive with a little less sweat, or take the long way home. It’s a trimmed down, fitness-focused e-bike that’s designed to amplify your every move.

SP5+ has a weight limit of 265lbs (120kg), which includes the rider and any gear or cargo.

SP5+ is compatible with full length front and rear fenders. It’s also compatible with universal rear racks that mount to the rear dropouts and seat stays. To mount the rear fender and rack to the frame, the seat stay bridge adapter must be installed on the underside of the seat stays.

SP5+ ships as a Class 2 e-bike, meaning it has both throttle and pedal assist to 20mph. The e-bike can be updated to Class 3 options via the X-LAB Bikes mobile app. It is the rider’s responsibility to comply with all local laws and regulations related to e-bikes.

Yes, the battery on SP5+ is designed to be safe and reliable. In addition to using Tier-1 battery cells from LG, the battery and complete e-bike system are tested and certified to UL 2271 and UL 2849.

Any local bike shop will be able to provide general service for your SP5+. For any maintenance of the e-system or warranty issues we recommend going to an X-LAB dealer to receive the best expert guidance and support.

SP5+ has clearance for up to 45c tires.

SP5+ uses a custom-designed integrated cockpit. There are three different cockpits for ST5+, SP5+, and SL5+. These are all cross compatible with all X-LAB e-bikes and can be purchased separately if a different ride position is desired.

SP5+ uses a standard ISIS spline interface for the crank arms, making it compatible with a wide range of aftermarket crank options.

The motor and battery on SP5+ are developed and manufactured in-house by X-LAB. The battery cells are sourced from LG.

Yes. The throttle controller can be removed if you prefer a cleaner cockpit setup or want to ride without throttle functionality. Please contact your local X-LAB dealer for assistance with removal and configuration.

To minimize weight and complexity of the overall e-bike, the battery on SP5+ is designed to be removed only by an X-LAB mechanic.

The rims and tires on SP5+ are not tubeless compatible.
